Q: What types of activities and events does WEC offer?

A: The Women Empowerment Club at York University is dedicated to promoting women empowerment and leadership. Throughout the school year, WEC is able to bring in a variety of events within each month with a certain theme. Social media campaigns, Newsletters, the WEC mentorship program, online fundraisers and so many more! WEC’s annual conference will also take place in March 2021, so stay tuned!

A: The WEC Execs and Ambassadors are here to give support and to make sure our members are able to cope with all emotional and mental difficulties in this very special time. You are encouraged to reach out to us whenever you feel like needing help and support.

 

Q: How will events be held during a virtual year, how will WEC accommodate York students?

A: WEC understands that a virtual year will be challenging for many members within the community this year at York. Most events will be held online via either zoom or social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook!

Q: What is unique about WEC’s new mentoring program?

A: WEC’s newly launched mentoring program is here to enhance communication and to give support to students at York! By submitting your questions or concerns anonymously, you can receive real advice and support from your upper-year mentors and peers at York.
